Overview

Pursuant to Executive Order 14110 on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence, the Office of Management and Budget M-24-10 has mandated that Federal Agencies aggressively pursue actions to Advance Governance, Innovation, and Risk Management for Agency Use of Artificial Intelligence.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and General Administrative Services (GSA) have issued Artificial Intelligence (AI) guidance, frameworks, and resource guides to assist Federal Civilian Executive Branch Agencies (FECBA) in their pursuit of opportunities to advance their use of AI.

This briefing will introduce Artificial Intelligence, present an examination of the potentially transformative role of AI in Cybersecurity, benefits and expected risks of AI in Federal Agency Cybersecurity, and what impacts Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) can expect on their roles and their teams.

Recommended attending personnel:

CEO, CIO, CTO, and Senior IT personnel, program personnel responsible for IT project management, and procurement personnel responsible for IT and Cyber Security contracts.
