Overview

This 60-minute interagency briefing provides best practices of using Intelligent Automation (IA) augmented by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize data usage within ERP systems while complying with federal agencies’ security protocols.

This approach has helped agencies save labor hours on mundane repeated tasks. RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is a business process automation technology that automates manual tasks that are largely rules based, structured, and repetitive using software robots, also known as bots. RPA tools map a process for a robot to follow which allows the bot to operate in place of a human. RPA enables federal employees to spend less time on routine tasks and focus on high value, more challenging, agency mission based tasks on hand.

IA is operationalization of RPA technologies which empowers non-IT professionals and process owners with the tools to automate a significant share of their ERP system workload tasks. By adopting AI-driven ERP software solutions, government can achieve greater efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance its agility to serve its constituents in a technologically driven world. The use of AI models based on the collected ERP data allows for self-optimization of the automated ERP system tasks.

GSA provides insight on how RPA allows for:

- Better Customer Experience

- Minimal Error Rates

- Better Management Capabilities

- Transactional to Analytical Culture

- Task Efficiency
