Overview

Pursuant to multiple Presidential actions and agency DEIA initiatives, this briefing will address requirements for proper inclusive clothing in specifications for tactical protective products and uniforms containing federal agency logos. Using best practices and federal guidance in support of employee inclusion, morale, and overall satisfaction is critical to individuals feeling valued as a member of the agency workforce. In turn, engaged employees are motivated and effective in helping agencies meet their mission.

Agency branded clothing, tactical and protective gear, and mandatory uniforms play a functional role in employee effectiveness as well as inclusion to the agency represented by agency badge or logo they wear. Participants of this briefing will see examples of how the US Marshall service, Air Force, National Guard, and other agencies have embraced quality, well-fitting, mission functional, custom-branded clothing and how using DEIA initiatives increased employee morale and agency reputation.

Recommended attending personnel:

HR Managers, DEIA Oversight, Public Safety Managers & Personnel, Law Enforcement Personnel, Special Operations, Fire Rescue, EMS Personnel, Uniformed Security, and P-Card and Procurement Personnel responsible for contracting for agency items.
